Red Bourbon, often referred to as “the cornerstone of Salvadoran coffee,” is the most widely regarded and well-known coffee variety in all of El Salvador. Its sweet, well-rounded, and consistent flavor profile (featuring notes of caramel and chocolate) embodies everything you would expect from a classic cup of El Salvador coffee. It is familiar, iconic, and deeply rooted in the country’s coffee heritage. From the farm to your cup, our specialty-grade Red Bourbon is crafted through a 100% hand-tailored process.

The journey begins at Marina Cumbre, a farm located at an altitude of 1,350 MASL in El Salvador’s Balsam Mountain Range (Cordillera del Bálsamo). The region’s unique microclimate and rich volcanic soil, combined with the farm’s regenerative, shade-grown agroforestry practices, allow the coffee cherries to develop slowly and naturally while supporting the surrounding ecosystem and maximizing harvest quality. Once perfectly ripened, the bright red coffee cherries are hand-picked and processed using the washed method before being slowly sun-dried on raised African beds. The beans are then sent to our roaster in Bitcoin Beach (El Zonte), where each batch is carefully roasted to your preference: Medium or Dark.

This 7 oz. package will arrive in a heat-sealed bag with a one-way oxygen valve to preserve freshness. For the best experience, we recommend brewing with a V60 pourover or French press to fully highlight the coffee’s smooth body and balanced finish, though this coffee is delicious no matter how you choose to brew it!
